RoHS Certification

RoHS, or Restriction of Hazardous Substances, is a directive established by the European Union (Directive 2011/65/EU, also known as RoHS2, andamended by Directive 2015/863, known as RoHS 3) to limit the use of specific hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Originatingin 2002, RoHS aims to protect human health and the environment by restricting substances that pose risks during the production, use, and disposal of electronics. All applicable products sold in the EU market since July 1, 2006, must comply with RoHS requirements.

RoHS certification demonstrates that a product adheres to these strict guidelines, ensuring it is free from or contains only permissible levels of restrictedsubstances. Compliance is mandatory for manufacturers, importers, and distributors selling EEE in the EU and is increasingly adopted globally, includinginregions like China, Japan, South Korea, and parts of the United States.
